**Tiny Glade** is a small diorama-builder in which players doodle whimsical castles, cozy cottages and romantic ruins onto forgotten meadows. Building is gridless, and the game adorns creations with procedural detail as you sketch — there is no management, combat or goal structure.[^1] It released on 23 September 2024 for Windows and Linux.[^1][^2] ## Gameplay Tiny Glade is a freeform, relaxing sandbox: draw a wall and it weathers itself; stretch a roof and ivy finds it. The game's "gridless building chemistry" reacts to every nudge with automatic decoration.[^1] ## Development and release Pounce Light is a two-person Swedish studio — Anastasia Opara and Tomasz Stachowiak — and Tiny Glade is its debut title.[^3] The game runs on custom technology: written in Rust on a modified version of the Bevy engine, with a custom Vulkan-based renderer built for the compute-shader work Bevy couldn't yet do.[^4][^5] A macOS version for Apple silicon arrived in May 2026, running the Vulkan renderer through MoltenVK.[^6] ## Reception Tiny Glade launched with a remarkable 1,375,441 Steam wishlists after roughly two years of development,[^7] having ranked fifth by unique players in Steam's June 2024 Next Fest.[^3] More than 500,000 people played the full game within just over two weeks — a milestone the developers called "bonkers"[^3] — and it sold about 616,000 copies in under a month.[^7] Its no-pressure creativity places it beside [[Dorfromantik]] in the meditative-building corner of [[cozy-game|cozy gaming]]. ## External links - [Official website](https://pouncelight.games/tiny-glade/) - [Steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2198150/Tiny_Glade/) [^1]: Valve.
