# Awards and recognition
For a one-to-two-hour debut, [[Venba]] assembled one of the most decorated award runs in recent indie history.

At the IGF, Venba was additionally a finalist for Excellence in Audio, Excellence in Narrative and Excellence in Visual Art.[^1]

## Nominations

At The Game Awards 2023, Venba was nominated for **Best Debut Indie Game** (won by Cocoon) and **Games for Impact**.[^4] At BAFTA it was also nominated in **Game Beyond Entertainment**.[^3]
