**Slime Rancher 2** is Monomi Park's sequel to [[Slime Rancher]], following Beatrix LeBeau to Rainbow Island.

## Release path

The sequel launched in early access on 22 September 2022 — on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X|S Game Preview, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.[^1] Monomi Park credited the original's early-access feedback loop as the reason for repeating the model: "Slime Rancher would not be the success it was without developing it in Early Access and receiving your feedback."[^1]

After about three years in early access, Slime Rancher 2 reached its full 1.0 release on 23 September 2025.[^2]
